University Seed Grants
CAES Universities provide funding for university led projects with the potential to garner additional, external funding. Some priorities for these programs include:
- Support novel, energy-related research, aligned with CAES focus areas
- Support innovative outreach activities focused on energy-related issues
- Provide seed funding for subsequent research proposal development
- Fund graduate student (principally PhD student) energy research
- Support pre-tenure faculty
- Enhance collaboration with CAES institutions
For more information about University Seed Grants, please see the program news below or contact the Associate Director for your university.
“The University Seed Grant is a great opportunity for researchers to engage with collaborators from INL, industry, and the CAES-Universities. It provides funding to obtain prelim data in order to build a much larger collaborative proposal to external agencies. As a CAES researcher, I have seen it firsthand how this program can help in developing new partnerships, research programs, and student opportunities.”
