The Center for Advanced Energy Studies (CAES) is accepting applications for its Summer Visiting Faculty Program through February 28. The program pairs selected faculty members from the CAES universities with researchers from Idaho National Laboratory for collaboration over 12 weeks during the summer (May 15-August 4) on a submission-ready research proposal. In its sixth year, the program features professional development opportunities, seminars and informational sessions aimed at building the faculty member’s understanding of the US Department of Energy and its core capabilities, INL’s strategic initiatives and areas of interest, and best practices in cross-institutional collaboration.
Selected faculty members receive a $10K stipend and expenses incurred for travel to CAES in Idaho Falls on May 15-17 for in-person interactions, collaboration and network building, and on August 4 for oral presentation of final proposals.
Go here to apply for the 2023 program. You will need to submit a description of your proposed project and provide your resume. Applications are due February 28 at 5pm MT.
For questions related to the application process, accommodations and CAES/INL, please email Program Lead Dr. Hillary K. Fishler or your university’s Associate Director.
