On Monday, July 29 at 9:00 a.m. in the CAES auditorium, Dr. Hongyan Ma with Missouri University Science & Technology will present “Turning carbon dioxide into “rocks”: Miscellaneous strategies toward gigaton-scale carbon negativity.” He will discuss how reducing atmospheric carbon dioxide (CO2) levels requires not just cutting emissions but also removing and storing CO2. Ma will highlight innovative methods using carbon mineralization to produce carbon-negative concrete and recover critical minerals.
